oooo i love this one. Although color bass isn't just resonator growl or just vocoder bass i really like this. You could probably layer it with the raw bass to give it more energy.

But I have to disagree a little, yes it isn’t only about vocoder or resonator but tonality, and vocoding and resonating are amazing ways of giving a song tonality, and I’ve gotten better vocoder presets o the chord and the original bass are kinda combined in the same patch so it’s all good lol

aight, this is going to be a long review (possibly my longest ever) so imma put it in categories and only going to talk about the mix down and a bit of music theory

1. LOW END

Turns out every frequency from 20hz to 100hz is stereo, which is not good for a mixdown. I dont use fl studio (i use abelton) but i think there is a way to mid-side eq on fruity parametric eq 2 (if you dont know what mid-side eq is look it up, its really helpfull).

Another problem i have is also with the sub bass. Practically everything needs to not have low end except your main sub bass (you can make some execptions). All you need for a sub bass is a sine wave played at a very low octave and thats pretty much it.

Your song is in Cmaj which is a really dangerous key for dubstep because sub basses on C are very low and almost inaudible.

2. HIGH END

Your high end is pretty good. The only problem with it is the sweeps/risers, which have wayyy to much high end. You should turn down the frequencies around 6khz to 10khz, cause they are
really harsh and are actually distorting a little bit.

3. DRUMS

Not much to say here, the kick could be better, it needs a bit more impact. The snare too, its not punchy enough. if you were to throw a transient shaper on the kick and snare, it would sound a lot better. The claps need a lot more reverb

4. MUSIC THEORY

The chords are completley fine, my only problem are the vocals. According to my ears the vocals are in Fmin and the actual song is in Cmin. if the vocals were pitch down 5 semitones they would be perfect.

5. VOCALS

Speaking of vocals, i think they could use some reverb (and a tiny bit of delay for more stereo width). Also you do need auto tune from time to time. It doesnt have to be intense, but it can help vocals sound in key (this song doesnt need auto tune tho)

6. OTHER

Now for the basses and stuff. The supersaws dont have enoguh stereo width

("stereo width is how your sounds move from one side of the mix (or speakers) to the other. Width is achievable in many ways (more on this below), but one of the most important keys for width is panning.")

To do that you can get a plugin called dimension expander (its free btw). It can help widen your supersaws. Also, dont use just ott for your basses, use a saturator to increase the actual sound of the bass.

aight i think thats pretty much what i have to say. Ive gone through like 2000 characters. This song has a lot of potential. Your compression is on point and structuring is good too.

ooooo this hits different

the main bass seems a bit too distorted/gritty which kinda messed the mixdown up in the drop,
it sounded perfect in 1:13 tho, less gritty and a bit more fun
everything else is super good tho, especially those chords in the last drop
